Hobart
Peace Coalition meetings for discussing peace, justice and human rights
issues:
Last Sunday of each month (not December)
2 pm, 6 Victoria St Hobart
|
| The
Hobart Peace Coalition was formed on 8 September 2002, on the initiative
of Unions Tasmania, in response to a growing
concern amongst Tasmanians over the threat by the President of the United
States, supported by the Australian Government, of a pre-emptive strike and war
on Iraq and its people. The Coalition wished to support efforts by the United Nations to
maintain the peace. |
