Federal Election 2007 Peace issues survey of Tasmanian candidates
Peace and security issues are important for Australia. The Hobart Peace Coalition sent this survey to all Tasmanian candidates in the 2007 federal election. We are interested in their considered thinking on these five issues, recognising that their answers to some of the questions may be constrained by Party policies. There are many other important peace and security issues covered in the navigation panel on the left. The three major parties, ALP, the Coalition and the Greens responded to the questions at the national level. These responses are relevant to the Senate Poll in all states, and to a future Australian Government's policies and programme in international affairs. Candidates responses to the questions, and the Tasmanian summary, are available through the links below.
There are more details of the
process of arranging the survey. Election comment on these pages is authorised by Ian Newman, 6 Victoria St Hobart. |
